FIELDS OF APPLICATION

ANTARTICA is a highly reactive thermal-hardening powder coating, available in the polyester or epoxypolyester version, that allows polymerization to occur at lower temperatures compared to traditional products.
It’s available in a smooth finish, glossy and matt, textured and metallized.

This product offers considerable energy savings, upt o 25-30%, and, in alternative, higher productivity levels thanks to the lower staying times in the oven.
Moreover, this type of product is especially recommended for:

• painting very thick metal supports (cast iron and steel), for which a lower reticulation temperature is necessary;
• pre-assembled components with polymerization temperature limits;
• ovens that can reach limited temperatures;
• to avoid the blooming effect, which sees an opacification of the surface due to the appearance of opaque blooms on the film.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

ANTARTICA is a polyester powder coating that uses a set of pigments and additives that make it suitable for application on substrates that will be placed outdoors, due to its good resistance to UV rays and atmospheric agents. The polyester PE version for INDOOR / OUTDOOR use, however, has a lower resistance to chemical agents than the epoxy polyester version. The cure temperature depends on the finish:

GLOSSY - SEMIGLOSSY  160x15’   
TEXTURED 160x15' - 150x20’ - 140x30'
MATT  160x10’/15' -150x20’/25' - 140x30'

The EP / PE version version is suitable for the application of supports that are not exposed to UV rays. These products allow high stress relieving films, and have good chemical resistance. The cure temperature depends on the finish:

GLOSSY 160x15’
TEXTURED 150x25'
MATT 150x25'

The product can be applied either automatically or manually, by means of corona spray guns or triboelectric spray guns.

Antartica products are developed in relation to the customer’s needs, in any colour version (RAL, Pantone, NCS, BS) or as per the sample, guaranteeing all kinds of brilliance (glossy, semi-glossy, semi-matt, matt, super-matt), metallization, finish (smooth, dimpled, crumpled, etc.) and other special effects (transparent, pearlescent, moiré, etc.).
