Thermacore
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Thermacore is a highly reactive thermal-hardening powder, available in the polyester or epoxypolyester version, that allows polymerization to occur at lower temperatures compared to traditional products.
This product offers considerable energy savings and, in alternative, higher productivity levels thanks to the lower staying times in the firing kiln.
Moreover, this type of product is especially recommended for:
- painting very thick metal supports (cast iron and steel), for which a lower reticulation temperature is necessary;
- pre-assembled components with temperature limits;
- firing kilns that can reach limited temperatures.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Thermacore PE version made with TGIC-free polyester contains organic pigments and it is suited for application to supports located outdoors, due to its good resistance to UV rays and atmospheric agents. However, the PE polyester version offers lower resistance to chemical agents compared to the EP/PE epoxy-polyester version. PMT 160°C x 15’.
The Thermacore EP/PE version is recommended for application to supports that will not be exposed to UV rays. These products allow high-stretching film to be obtained and offer a good chemical resistance. PMT 160°C x 15’.
The product can be applied either automatically or manually, by means of corona spray guns (60/80 KV) or triboelectric spray guns.
LIST OF FINISHES
Thermacore products are developed in relation to the customer’s needs, in any colour version (RAL, Pantone, NCS) or as per the sample, guaranteeing all kinds of brilliance (glossy, semi-glossy, semi-matt, matt, super-matt), metallization, finish (smooth, dimpled, crumpled, etc.) and other special effects (transparent, pearlescent, moiré, etc.).
